The Sound of the Bugle

The piercing sound of a bull elk's bugle is one of the most exhilarating sounds in the wild. It’s a call, a challenge, and a proclamation. In our spiritual lives, God also calls out to us. He may speak through His Word, through the counsel of a friend, or through a quiet conviction in our hearts. Are we listening? The hunter must discern the call, understanding its direction and meaning. Likewise, we are called to be attentive to God's voice, to be able to distinguish His call from the noise of the world.
